Attend Closing
It’s closing time! Not too much to do besides pack at this point and transfer utilities in your name. You, the buyer get to decide what attorney you want to use. We will then schedule closing, as well as let the sellers know the specific date and time (especially in case something changes from what is on the contract).
A few important reminders for closing:
- Bring your photo ID with you (ideally a driver’s license or passport)
- Bring your checkbook (just in case)
- Closing takes approximately 1 hour, however, it can be longer if there are problems.
Make sure you save all copies of all documents, as you may need them in the future.
Last, but not least, you’ll get your keys and can now officially move in! Congratulations new homeowner!
